I remember looking at my daughter’s curls and thinking: this is the hair I always wished I had growing up.

No matter how carefully I cared for it the night before, her sleep would unravel it, leaving behind dryness, tangles, and a routine that felt more corrective and stressful than nurturing.

It didn’t feel like care. It felt like corrective action.

So I began to look more closely — not just at the results, but at the materials and construction behind them.

What I found was a category built on approximation.

Polyester satin in place of silk.
Single-lined designs that left hair exposed to rough textures.
Fits that slipped, shifted, or failed entirely overnight.

Nothing felt considered. So I reworked it from the beginning.

Sleepy Strands is made using GOTS-certified, organic Mulberry silk (Grade 6A, 19 momme) — chosen for its smoothness, breathability, and ability to protect delicate curls without disruption.

Each bonnet is double-lined, ensuring consistent contact with silk from every angle.
The fit is proportioned specifically for children, refined across ages 2 through 13.
And a sewn-in safety loop secures the ties, quietly solving a problem most designs ignore.

Every detail serves a purpose.

Because this isn’t simply about preserving a hairstyle overnight.
